Facilities Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out all assigned tasks and projects essential to the efficient and safe functioning of the campus. This role involves completing maintenance duties, supporting event setups, and ensuring campus facilities remain operational and well-maintained. Team members report directly to the Facilities Manager, providing updates on the status of tasks and projects as assigned.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Naples.
Assists the Facilities Manager in maintaining campus operations and ensuring all assigned tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.
Basic personal responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, and meditation.
- Lead yourself and your home towards Honesty, Honor, Humility, Hunger, the Holy Spirit, and Health (Emotional, Spiritual, Financially, and Physically).
- Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
- Faithfully support the ministries of First Naples by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
- Maintain active participation in an adult-group.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of First Naples (Colossians 3:23-24).
SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute assigned maintenance tasks including basic repairs, cleaning, and landscaping to ensure campus facilities remain in top condition.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are properly arranged and stored.
- Respond to immediate facility issues such as leaks, power outages, or security concerns, reporting incidents promptly to the Facilities Manager.
- Support the mechanical operations of the campus, assisting with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical system checks under supervision.
- Monitor the inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Facilities Manager when restocking is needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free campus environment.
- Provide regular updates to the Facilities Manager regarding the status of assigned tasks and ongoing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in facility maintenance, operations, or a related field is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must have clear communication skills to interact with team members, vendors, and church staff. They must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, provide task updates to leadership, and demonstrate professionalism and tact in all interactions.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, submit reports, and research information online, are required. Basic math skills are necessary to track supply inventory and review project costs.
REASONING ABILITY
The individual must have the ability to assess and address facility issues, prioritize tasks, and resolve problems efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for completing projects and supporting campus operations.

Maintenance Technician Levels
Level I
A Level I MT is an entry-level position. A Level I MT performs routine maintenance and simple repairs under the supervision of a Level II or III MT. They should have a foundational understanding of equipment and the mechanics of said equipment with the ability to verbally communicate the status of assigned projects. The safety risk for a Level I MT is minimal as they are highly supervised and are assigned less complicated tasks.
Level I can perform tasks such as:
- Painting
- Power washing
- Replacing light bulbs
- Communicate with facility management about simple issues
- Perform some level II tasks while being supervised by a level II or III
